Liverpool star Sadio Mane has this afternoon been named as the Premier League’s Player of the Month for March.
Mane on fire
Senegalese attacker Mane has been Liverpool’s key attacking outlet over the last couple of months.
Amid Mohamed Salah’s struggles, Mane has taken the Reds’ goalscoring burden on his back, with the gifted wide-man’s 11 goals in 11 games between the middle of January and the end of March having catapulted the Reds into the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and back above Manchester City atop the Premier League table.
Of Mane’s strikes, 5 came in March, including a trio of Premier League goals.
The 26-year-old notched a brace during his side’s hard-fought 4-2 victory over Burnley on the 10th of March, before finding the net again versus Fulham a week later.
