Tierney And David Luiz set for Arsenal medicals after fees are agreed

L’Equipe, Daily Mail and The Telegraph are among the outlets reporting that Luiz has took action yesterday – by missing training – to push for a transfer across London to be reunited with Unai Emery. While BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein claims that Chelsea’s David Luiz and Celtic’s Kieran Tierney are both set for medicals at Arsenal.

Luiz signed a new two-year deal in May upon the expiry of his previous contract with Chelsea unable to sign reinforcements this summer.

But it seems the 32-year-old has had a change of heart and wishes to leave Stamford Bridge for Arsenal.

Tierney, meanwhile, has been a target for the Gunners throughout the summer, but the north London side have struggled to reach an agreement with the Scottish champions.
