Tired of Being Laughed at by Classmates, Young Girl Takes Paternity Quest to Instagram
Anu Adeleke, an 11-year-old girl at the center of a long-running paternity dispute, has taken matters into her own hands by publicly appealing to Afrobeats superstar Davido to take a DNA test, saying she is tired of being bullied over the unanswered question.
In a direct post on her Instagram page, the teenager tagged the singer, asking him to finally help settle the years-long claim that he is her biological father—a claim her mother has consistently maintained but Davido has never acknowledged.
“I have been bullied and laughed at by other students whenever I tell them Davido is my father,” the young girl expressed, explaining her motivation for the public plea. The constant teasing from classmates has fueled her frustration and a personal quest for the truth.
Her request has ignited a firestorm of reaction across social media, with users expressing a mix of sympathy, urgency, and debate over her approach.
“She has every right to know the truth. A DNA test is the only way to settle this,” wrote one supportive fan, capturing a common sentiment. Another commented on the emotional toll, saying, “I can’t imagine being bullied for something like this. Davido should respond.”

Others questioned the public nature of the appeal, with one user noting, “Why make it public? There are private ways to handle this.”
As the story gains traction online, the nation now watches to see if the “With You” crooner will break his silence and respond to the heartfelt—and very public—plea from an 11-year-old girl seeking nothing more than clarity about her own identity.
