Music Star’s Former Lawyer Denies Allegations, DNA Evidence Cited
Nigerian music sensation Davido, born David Adeleke, finds himself at the center of another paternity controversy as an 11-year-old girl named Anu publicly claims to be his oldest daughter.
Anu sparked a social media frenzy with a viral video in which she referred to herself as “Davido’s oldest daughter” and expressed gratitude to supporters who have stood by her. She also thanked investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo, whom she credited for her unwavering support.
Claims and Controversy
In the video, Anu highlighted her achievements and shared her excitement about recently turning 11. Her Instagram bio also prominently identifies her as part of the Adeleke family, further fueling public speculation about the possibility of an undisclosed chapter in Davido’s personal life.
However, Prince Ajudua, Davido’s former lawyer, has strongly refuted these claims. According to Ajudua, DNA tests conducted at two respected clinics, including one chosen by Anu’s family, conclusively established that Davido is not her father.
Expressing frustration, Ajudua urged those perpetuating the narrative to move on, stating, “This is extremely unfair to both the Adeleke family and the child. Please give it a rest.”
A History of Allegations
This is not the first time Davido has been embroiled in paternity disputes. In 2018, Kemi Olunloyo accused the singer of fathering a child with a woman named Ayotomide Labinjo. According to Olunloyo, the child was the result of a one-night stand following a 2013 concert in Ibadan.
Olunloyo has claimed she has personally supported both Ayotomide and her daughter since 2018, alleging that Davido has refused to acknowledge or assist them. In a 2023 open letter, Olunloyo criticized Davido for his alleged neglect, stating that the singer consistently turned a blind eye to their plight.
