English Clubs Dominate as Historic Six-Team Contingent Learns Its Fate in Revamped Tournament
The stage is set for a revolutionary edition of European football’s premier club competition. The fixtures for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League have been officially released, confirming a blockbuster slate of matches under a brand-new format. This season marks a significant milestone for English football, which will be represented by a record-breaking six teams for the very first time.
Europa League victors Tottenham Hotspur have earned their place alongside the Premier League’s top five finishers. They are joined by a Chelsea side that qualified through their league position, not as UEFA Conference League champions. The draw has placed powerhouses Liverpool and Manchester City in the coveted Pot 1, with Arsenal slated in Pot 2.
