Adrien Rabiot Set to Join Marseille After Leaving Juventus

French Midfielder Agrees Deal Pending Medical, Returns to Ligue 1

Former Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has agreed in principle to join Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille, marking his return to French football after five years in Italy. The 29-year-old, who left Juventus in July after declining to extend his contract, will finalize the move pending a medical.

Several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, were reportedly interested in signing the French international. However, Rabiot has opted to return to Ligue 1, where he previously starred for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The details of his contract, including its length and wages, have not yet been disclosed.

Olympique Marseille announced the agreement on social media platform X, stating, “Olympique de Marseille announces that it has reached an agreement in principle with Adrien Rabiot for the arrival at the club of the French international midfielder. The player will sign with OM subject to the result of his medical.”

Rabiot’s tenure at Juventus saw him win the Serie A title in his debut season and two Coppa Italia trophies. Prior to his move to Turin, he spent seven years at PSG, where he won 18 major titles, including five Ligue 1 championships. He also earned 48 caps for the French national team and was part of the squad for Euro 2024.
