Former Housemate Cites Constant Scrutiny and Loss of Privacy After Life on Reality TV
In a blunt social media reveal, former Big Brother Naija contestant Angel Smith has declared she regrets her decision to go on the show. During a recent Snapchat Q&A, the “Shine Ya Eye” and “All Stars” alum was direct when a fan asked if she had any regrets.
“Hell yeah,” she responded.

Smith pointed to the intense public scrutiny that followed her time in the house as the primary reason for her remorse.

“Everyone always in my business,” she wrote, describing the suffocating loss of privacy that has defined her life post-fame.

Reflecting on her original motivation, she seemed almost baffled by her past self. “Omo nothing o, idk who sent me message sef,” she stated, implying there was no significant purpose behind her initial choice to audition.
Her candid admission provides a sobering counterpoint to the celebrated narratives of reality TV success, underscoring the personal toll that can come with a sudden and unforgiving spotlight.
