Arsenal Close In on Striker Signings as Gyokeres and Sesko Deals Heat Up

Gunners Make Breakthrough in Transfer Talks Amidst Striker Search

Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement with Viktor Gyokeres’ agent over a potential move to the Emirates, while RB Leipzig have softened their stance on Benjamin Sesko’s asking price.

The Gunners are pushing hard to strengthen their squad this summer, with deals for Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Christian Norgaard expected to be finalized soon. However, their top priority remains securing a world-class striker—a signing that could be the difference between Premier League glory or another near miss.

Gyokeres Saga Takes a New Turn

The pursuit of Gyokeres has been anything but straightforward. The Swedish striker, one of Europe’s most lethal forwards this season, had a gentleman’s agreement with Sporting Lisbon allowing him to leave for around £58 million. However, the Portuguese club has since demanded a higher fee, leaving the player reportedly “heartbroken.”

Despite the complications, Arsenal are said to be in agreement with Gyokeres’ agent, Hasan Çetinkaya, over a deal worth around €60 million plus €10 million in add-ons—a figure believed to have been initially promised by Sporting. With Gyokeres potentially delaying his return to pre-season training, the pressure is mounting on Sporting to negotiate.

Sesko’s Price Tag Drops as Leipzig Seek Resolution

Meanwhile, Benjamin Sesko’s transfer situation has also evolved. RB Leipzig had initially set an ambitious €80-100 million price tag for their star striker, but with no concrete offers, they are now willing to accept a more realistic €70 million plus bonuses.

Arsenal remain in the race for the Slovenian forward, but competition is fierce, with Gyokeres also on their radar. The Gunners must now decide which striker fits their project best—a decision that could define their season.

A Striker Could Make or Break Arsenal’s Title Hopes

Mikel Arteta’s side came agonizingly close to Premier League success last season, and the right striker signing could push them over the line. Whether it’s Gyokeres or Sesko, Arsenal fans are desperate for clarity—but with negotiations still ongoing, the waiting game continues.

Will the Gunners land their dream striker in time for the new campaign? Only time will tell.
