Gunners Lead Race to Sign Nigerian Forward Amid Interest from Liverpool and PSG
Arsenal is reportedly exploring a surprising move for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, with a potential swap deal involving defender Jakub Kiwior. According to sources, the Gunners have already made an initial offer of £42.5 million plus add-ons for the 26-year-old Nigerian international, who played a key role in Atalanta’s Europa League triumph last season.
Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest in Lookman, but Arsenal appears to have taken the lead in the race for his signature.
Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports that Arsenal is open to including Kiwior in the deal to sweeten the offer, as Atalanta is unlikely to accept their initial bid.
Lookman, who is under contract with Atalanta until the summer of 2026, has been valued by his club at around £51 million. While Arsenal’s current offer falls short of this valuation, the inclusion of Kiwior could be a decisive factor in negotiations.
As the transfer window edges closer to its conclusion, Arsenal is keen to secure Lookman’s services, adding another dynamic option to Mikel Arteta’s attacking lineup. The coming days will be crucial as both clubs work to finalize the details of a potential deal.
