Arsenal on the Verge of Signing Spanish Wonderkid Yeremy Pino, Beating Premier League Rival Newcastle

Gunners Eye Villarreal Star as Long-Term Backup for Bukayo Saka

Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the surprise signing of Villarreal’s highly-rated winger, Yeremy Pino, outpacing Premier League rivals Newcastle in the race for the 21-year-old Spanish talent. Despite the summer transfer window having just closed, Mikel Arteta is said to be focused on building for the future, with plans to bolster his squad further.

According to Catalan outlet El Nacional, Arteta is keen on securing two high-quality players for each position. Pino, who returned to action this season after recovering from a long-term knee injury, has emerged as one of Arsenal’s top targets. His dynamism and pace make him an ideal candidate to serve as a long-term backup to Bukayo Saka on the right wing.

While Newcastle are also in pursuit of Pino, the Magpies face challenges related to financial fair play regulations, potentially giving Arsenal an edge in the race. Villarreal, however, are demanding a hefty release clause of over €70 million for the Spanish international, who has made more than 100 La Liga appearances and earned 13 caps for Spain.

Though Pino has shown no desire to leave Villarreal and still has three years left on his contract, a move to the Premier League could be enticing for both the player and his club. Arsenal may act swiftly to secure the deal before other teams enter the fray as Pino continues to regain form following his injury.
