Arsenal Open to Selling Gabriel Jesus in January

Injury-Plagued Striker Could Be Moved as New Signing Gyokeres Settles In

Arsenal is reportedly prepared to listen to offers for Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus when the transfer window reopens in January, a significant shift in the club’s attacking plans.

The move comes after the Gunners invested heavily in Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres, who has netted three times in his first ten games, adding to the club’s formidable forward options. Jesus, who electrified the Emirates crowd after his arrival from Manchester City in 2022, has seen his time in North London repeatedly disrupted by a series of “agonising injuries,” including an ACL issue that sidelined him for much of the previous season.

According to a report from The Mail, the club “are open to offers for Jesus in January,” with his contract running until the summer of 2027 giving Arsenal a strong negotiating position. The potential sale of Jesus, for what the report calls “the right money,” would represent the most significant departure of the season, far surpassing the summer exits of players like Reiss Nelson and Albert Sambi Lokonga.

With Kai Havertz also yet to return to the fold, the potential departure of Jesus signals a clear intent from manager Mikel Arteta to reshape his frontline, moving forward with Gyokeres as the central figure.
