Deal Finalized for 2027 Arrival After Arsenal Beat European Competition
Arsenal have finalized a deal to sign 16-year-old Ecuadorian twins Edwin and Holger Quintero, with the teenage prospects set to formally join the club in August 2027. The pair are currently in London to complete the agreement.
According to an ESPN report, the Gunners secured the signatures after more than a year of scouting, beating several top European rivals. The club’s strong record of promoting youth to the first team was a key factor in the decision.
Edwin, a right winger likened to Neymar in style, and Holger, an attacking midfielder, will join from Shamrock Rovers alongside another young talent, Victor Ozhianvuna. They originally developed at the renowned Ecuadorian academy Independiente del Valle, which has produced stars like Moises Caicedo and Arsenal’s own Piero Hincapie.
While the transfer fee remains undisclosed, the move is part of Arsenal’s global strategy to secure top young talent. The club is not expected to announce the deal immediately, with the focus on the twins’ development before their integration in 2027.
