Arsenal learn severity of captain’s ankle issue suffered on international duty

Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard is expected to be sidelined for at least three weeks after sustaining an ankle injury while playing for Norway in their 2-1 win over Austria in the Nations League on Monday.

The 25-year-old limped off during the second half, raising concerns among Arsenal fans. Norway’s team doctor, Ola Sand, has confirmed that although Odegaard has avoided a broken ankle, he will likely be out of action for the rest of September.
