Unbeaten in 10 and Leading the League, Gunners Boss Eyes Historic Quadruple Charge
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has called on his squad to believe they are on the verge of a historic season, with the club still firmly in contention for an unprecedented quadruple.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Nottingham Forest, Arteta pointed to his team’s relentless consistency—a six-point lead at the top of the table and a 10-match unbeaten run across all competitions—as the foundation for genuine belief. The Gunners also sit atop their Champions League group with a perfect record, have advanced in the FA Cup, and hold a 3-2 advantage over Chelsea in their League Cup semi-final.
“We are building very good momentum, and belief comes from performances and the level of consistency we have shown,” Arteta told reporters. He highlighted Wednesday’s dramatic comeback win at Stamford Bridge as a key moment. “What we did the other day should help us to be very convinced that we have the ability to do that. But the reality is you have to show it in every game.”
Despite the soaring optimism, Arteta remains grounded, acknowledging the long road ahead. “There is still so much to happen. But we are glad that we are still alive in the four competitions,” he added.
The manager also issued a stern warning about their next opponents, a resurgent Nottingham Forest under Sean Dyche. Though Forest sit 17th, their form has improved markedly since Dyche’s arrival in October.
“A top coach. Really good at what he does. You can see straight away his fingerprints,” Arteta said, praising Dyche’s impact. “With Sean, they are different. Very efficient in what they do with a clear identity. That is what makes them dangerous.”
Arteta’s message is clear: the platform for greatness has been built, but history will only be written one disciplined, relentless game at a time.
