Afrobeats Star Expresses Longtime Desire to Work with Grammy-Winning Artist

Afrobeats sensation Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has revealed that Grammy-winning artist Wizkid is one of his major musical inspirations. The singer shared this insight while discussing his recent collaboration with Wizkid on his newly-released third studio album, Lungu Boy.

Asake expressed his excitement about working with the “Ojuelegba” hitmaker on the track “MMS,” a collaboration he had eagerly anticipated. In a message shared on digital streaming platforms, Asake wrote, “It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artiste in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for that right song, so when the opportunity came, it was a no-brainer.”

The track “MMS,” which stands for “Mr Money Sound,” is described by Asake as a reflection of his music journey, highlighting the influence and inspiration drawn from artists like Wizkid.
