The Spanish club was left furious after a training session at the Emirates Stadium left players without hot water, casting a shadow over the Champions League match.
Atletico Madrid have filed an official complaint with UEFA against Arsenal after their players were left without hot water for showers following a training session on Monday.
The incident occurred just a day before the two teams are set to face off in a crucial Champions League group match at the Emirates Stadium. According to reports, Atletico officials alerted Arsenal to the problem at 6:45 pm, but the issue remained unresolved when players returned to the dressing room at 7:15 pm.
Although the hot water was reportedly restored shortly after, the Atletico squad, described as “furious, surprised and confused,” opted to leave the stadium and shower at their hotel instead. Arsenal have since apologized for the incident.
The complaint adds a layer of tension to the highly anticipated match, where Arsenal will look to maintain their perfect record while Atletico seek their first win in England this season.
