Barcelona Eye Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush as a Potential Successor to Lewandowski

As Barcelona prepares for its much-anticipated return to Camp Nou and the 2026 elections, President Joan Laporta is reportedly scouting for a forward to reinvigorate the squad and, ultimately, succeed Robert Lewandowski. Among the options, according to David Bernabeu of SPORT, Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush has caught Barcelona’s attention.

While Laporta’s dream signing is Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, the club’s financial constraints make that prospect unlikely, leading Barcelona’s management to seek out more affordable yet impactful alternatives.

Omar Marmoush

Marmoush, currently tied with Harry Kane as the Bundesliga’s top scorer with 11 goals, offers both strong goal-scoring ability and versatility. He has also delivered seven assists and netted three goals in the Europa League and DFB-Pokal, making him an attractive and versatile attacking option.

Marmoush’s market value sits around €40 million, though Frankfurt reportedly values him at €45 million, a more feasible price for Barcelona compared to other top players. Additionally, Marmoush’s representation by CAA Stellar, the same agency managing Barcelona midfielder Fermín López, could give Barcelona an edge in negotiations.

However, the Catalan giants face stiff competition, with Bayern Munich and Liverpool reportedly vying for Marmoush’s signature. As Laporta aims to excite fans and solidify Barcelona’s future, securing Marmoush could become a key move in the club’s strategic overhaul.
