Barcelona Eye Marcus Rashford Move – But Deal Hinges on Ansu Fati Sale

Manchester United Outcast Could Get Dream Camp Nou Switch if Spanish Giants Can Offload Injury-Plagued Star

Barcelona are preparing to revive their interest in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford this summer – but only if they can successfully sell Ansu Fati first, according to reports.

The England international, currently on loan at Aston Villa, has reignited his career under Unai Emery with 10 goal contributions in just four months. While Villa want to make the move permanent, 90min reports that Rashford has his heart set on a Barcelona switch after being frozen out by United boss Ruben Amorim last December.

Financial constraints mean the Catalan club must sell before they can buy, with injury-prone Fati (once hailed as Lionel Messi’s heir) now seen as expendable. The 22-year-old has attracted interest from Sevilla and other La Liga sides, but no deal has yet been reached.

Ansu Fati

“Barcelona admire Rashford’s profile and believe he could thrive in their system,” a source revealed. “But every euro matters – Fati must go first.”

Rashford’s resurgence at Villa Park, including crucial goals in their push for European football, has made him one of the Premier League’s most intriguing comeback stories. Now, his future depends on Barcelona’s ability to solve their own financial puzzle – with Fati’s departure the missing piece needed to bring the United academy graduate to Camp Nou.
