Teen Sensation Celebrates Return to Form After La Liga Setbacks
Barcelona’s rising star Lamine Yamal has expressed his delight after the team’s emphatic 5-1 victory over Real Mallorca, a crucial result following recent struggles in La Liga.
The 16-year-old prodigy returned to the starting lineup and played a pivotal role in the dominant performance at Son Moix. Speaking to Esport3 after the match, Yamal emphasized the importance of the win:
“It was a very important victory after the two defeats in La Liga. Winning with a result like that makes us very happy,” he said.
Reflecting on the team’s approach, Yamal noted the difference in execution between the halves:
“We had been better in the first half, but we needed to finish off the clear chances we created. We went out in the second half with that idea, and it worked out pretty well for us.”
Yamal also highlighted his impressive assist to Raphinha, showcasing his growing understanding with his teammate:
“It’s something I do quite well, and I’m happy for Raphinha. We understand each other very well, and he knows that when I’m in that area of the field, I’ll always try to make that pass.”
The win marked a significant morale boost for the team, which had been performing well in the Champions League but dropped critical points in the league. Yamal acknowledged the importance of such a comprehensive victory for building confidence across the squad:
“The goals are important for everyone, especially for those who play less frequently. They give them a lot of confidence.”
On his physical condition, Yamal reassured fans, saying:
“The ankle is fine, and I’m ready to play as many games as necessary.”
The teenage sensation’s performance continues to impress, with his latest assist taking him to eight for the season in just 14 La Liga games under manager Hansi Flick.
