The Brazilian international, away on international duty, took to social media to express his outrage after an incident involving his infant child at the theme park.
Barcelona star Raphinha has launched a powerful and emotional accusation against Disneyland Paris, claiming employees at the famed theme park discriminated against his young son. The incident allegedly occurred while the player was thousands of miles away with the Brazilian national team.
Taking to Instagram, the 28-year-old forward shared photos of his infant son and delivered a scathing critique of the park’s staff, whom he called a “disgrace.” He described a painful scene where his son was seemingly ignored while other children received attention.

“Your employees are a disgrace,” Raphinha wrote. “You’re supposed to make children happy, not snub a child… I understand the fatigue of those who work there but why were all the white children embraced and my son wasn’t? He just wanted a ‘hi’ and a hug.”
This is not the first time Raphinha has spoken out against racism. Throughout his career, he has been a vocal advocate for change. In a notable act of solidarity in 2023, he displayed a message of support for his compatriot Vinícius Júnior after the Real Madrid star suffered repeated racist abuse in La Liga. The shirt read: “As long as the colour of the skin is more important than the colour of the eyes, there will be war.”
More recently, in November 2024, Raphinha and his Barcelona teammate Lamine Yamal were themselves targets of racist abuse during a match against Real Madrid, an incident that led to three arrests.
His latest post adds a deeply personal dimension to his ongoing fight against discrimination, shifting the focus from the pitch to a place known as “the happiest place on Earth.”
