Spa denies claims, says client initially withdrew complaint; police investigation reopened amid public outcry
A disturbing allegation of sexual assault has rocked Sayria Lagos, the upscale spa owned by Big Brother Naija star Abiri Khloe Oluwabusayomi (Khloe), after a client accused a male masseur of violating her during a session.
Angelica Kelechi took to social media on Sunday to share her harrowing experience, claiming she was repeatedly assaulted during what was supposed to be a celebratory spa day for her sister’s birthday.

“I Was Fingered Multiple Times” – Client’s Shocking Account
In a now-viral post, Angelica described the May 21 incident as traumatic, alleging the masseur “coerced and started fingering me while massaging me.” She said she reported the incident to the police but was met with victim-blaming, including officers questioning why a “young girl” was at a spa.
She also accused Sayria’s management of attempting to shield the masseur, stating: “They tried to hide the boy and give us the runaround.”
Spa Counters: “Client Never Complained, Even Tipped Staff”
In a detailed statement, Sayria Lagos expressed shock at the allegations, insisting Angelica had confirmed she was comfortable with a male therapist. The spa claimed four people, including Angelica’s sister, were present during the session, and that both clients tipped staff ₦25,000 afterward without raising concerns.
However, the spa acknowledged Angelica later returned with police, leading to the masseur’s arrest. Though she reportedly withdrew her complaint the next day, Sayria suspended the staff member and reopened investigations following public backlash.
New Twist: Therapist “Admitted Misconduct,” Says Victim
Angelica disputed the spa’s version, denying she tipped anyone and alleging the masseur confessed at the police station. She claimed an agreement was brokered for Sayria to donate to an organization of her choice, but the spa allegedly reneged, donating a blocked amount to a different cause.

“I have a voice recording of the agreement,” she asserted.
What Happens Next?
With the masseur still in police custody and Sayria’s managing director personally overseeing the case, the spa maintains a “zero-tolerance” stance on misconduct. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked broader conversations about client safety in Nigeria’s wellness industry.
Neither Khloe nor Angelica has commented further as investigations continue.
