Socialite Calls Allegations of Paying to Avoid Prison Sentence ‘Fake’
Controversial Nigerian socialite, Bobrisky, has responded to a leaked audio recording circulating online that alleges he paid N15 million to resolve a money laundering case. Verydarkman, known for his outspoken activism, had previously threatened to expose Bobrisky if he did not settle a N4 million debt allegedly owed to an individual. Following Bobrisky’s failure to pay, the audio was leaked, implicating several individuals in alleged bribery, including members of the EFCC.
In response, Bobrisky took to Instagram to dismiss the claims, stating that the audio was fake and urging the public to disregard the information.
“My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira and that I was never in prison… I didn’t pay any EFCC money. It’s a very big lie. I served my term in full and I came out. Discard any false information,” he wrote.
