Crossdresser Speaks Out Against Societal Hostility and Plans to Reveal Past Relationships
Popular Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has stirred controversy with a fiery new video in which he claimed to have dated several celebrities and vowed never to return to Nigeria. The social media personality, known for his flamboyant lifestyle and outspoken nature, took to the platform to express his frustrations with the Nigerian entertainment industry and society at large.
In the emotional clip, Bobrisky announced plans to expose seven celebrities he allegedly had relationships with, while calling out what he described as the “fake” nature of many individuals in the industry. He also reflected on the hostility he has faced from politicians and celebrities, particularly during his recent ordeal with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
“The time is coming when I will list seven celebrities I have dated,” Bobrisky declared. “The time is coming when I will expose fake people in that country. They are so fake!”
He went on to express his disbelief at the level of attention he has received from high-profile figures, including ministers and senators. “I never knew I was so special until last year when ministers and senators started discussing me. Imagine a whole minister leaving work to focus on Bobrisky. Am I that important?” he quipped.
Bobrisky also spoke about his decision to leave Nigeria permanently, citing the country’s rigid legal system and societal norms as reasons for his departure. He lamented that Nigeria would never recognize his gender identity, stating, “If I lived in Nigeria for 100 years, they would never put ‘female’ on my passport or driver’s license. But here, I am respected for who I am.”

The crossdresser expressed a deep sense of alienation, emphasizing that Nigeria no longer holds a place for him beyond occasional visits. He concluded by asserting that he has found a new home where his identity is acknowledged and his worth recognized—something he believes Nigeria never offered him.
Bobrisky’s video has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans supporting his decision to speak out, while others criticized his approach. Regardless, his bold statements have once again placed him at the center of public discourse, highlighting the ongoing tensions between individuality and societal expectations in Nigeria.
As Bobrisky prepares to reveal more about his past relationships and experiences, the Nigerian entertainment industry braces for what could be a wave of revelations—and further debate about acceptance, identity, and freedom of expression.
