Bose Ogulu Celebrates Her Son with Sweet Memories and a Heartfelt Message
To celebrate Burna Boy’s 33rd birthday, his mother, Bose Ogulu, shared nostalgic throwback photos of the Afrobeat star. The Grammy-winning artist turned a year older on July 2nd, and his mother, who is also his manager, marked the occasion by posting pictures of him as a toddler and a teenager.
In her heartfelt birthday message, Bose prayed for God to bless her son with wisdom, grace, mercy, and favor. She emphasized that his greatness is undeniable and cannot be ignored.
“Happy birthday to you, son. May God bless you with his wisdom, his grace, his mercy, & his favor. Your greatness can neither be ignored nor denied. Many happy returns, @burnaboygram,” she wrote.
Back in May, on Mother’s Day, Burna Boy surprised his mother with a new car to show his appreciation for her unwavering support and love. He gifted her a brand new Mercedes Benz Maybach Truck. This was not the first time the singer had shown his love in a grand way. For her birthday in November, Burna Boy brought his mother on stage during his performance in Austin, Texas. They shared a touching mother-and-son moment as the audience joined in to sing a birthday song while he kissed her.
Reflecting on that special moment, Bose Ogulu expressed how blessed she felt by her son’s sweet gesture. She described it as unforgettable and was moved by the onstage birthday serenade.
In 2022, Bose Ogulu opened up about managing Burna Boy, describing it as a sacrifice rather than ambition. She initially managed his career during its early stages in 2014 but stepped back to focus on raising her other children. She resumed her managerial role in 2017 and has since helped her son achieve numerous accolades, earning her the affectionate nickname “Mama Burna.”
