Hip-Hop Star Shares Joyful News Amid End of Seven-Year Marriage
Just 24 hours after filing for divorce from Offset, Cardi B has announced that she is expecting her third child. The 31-year-old hip-hop star revealed the news to her followers on Instagram on Thursday, following her decision to end her seven-year marriage to the 32-year-old rapper.
In her Instagram post, Cardi B shared celebratory photos of her pregnancy along with a heartfelt message. She wrote:
“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you. You have brought me more love, more life, and most of all renewed my power! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and passion! I love you so much and cannot wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, and what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns, and tests lying down, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
Cardi B’s announcement comes shortly after her decision to seek a divorce from Offset, known for his work with the Migos. The rapper’s manager confirmed in an interview with PEOPLE that Cardi B is requesting primary custody of their two children: son Wave Set, 2, and daughter Kulture Kiari, 6.
As she navigates this new chapter, Cardi B remains focused on the future and the joy her growing family brings.
