Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell both scored in the last ten minutes for Chelsea against Southampton, who had James Ward-Prowse sent off in the second half.
Chelsea had lost back-to-back games heading into this weekend’s game against Southampton. They started well against the Saints though as they went ahead in the ninth minute.
Trevoh Chalobah got the goal as he headed the ball past Alex McCarthy’s after being set up by Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s flick-on from Chilwell’s corner.
Tino Livramento won the visitors a penalty just after the hour mark. James Ward-Prowse took it and he made no mistake as he scored oast Edouard Mendy.
Ward-Prowse was sent off in the 77th-minute for a serious foul. Chelsea made the most of this advantage as Werner and Chilwell scored the decisive goals in the final ten minutes.
