Struggling Frenchman Draws Interest Across Europe, But Not From Stamford Bridge
Chelsea have dismissed rumors linking them with Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, according to reports. Despite speculation about his departure from the French capital, the Blues are not pursuing the 24-year-old forward, who has struggled to meet expectations since his €95 million transfer in 2023.
Kolo Muani joined PSG with high hopes but has openly admitted to struggling under the weight of his price tag and the pressure of playing in his hometown. His difficulties have led to his exclusion from matchday squads under manager Luis Enrique, who offered a blunt response when questioned about the forward’s absence: “I could speak about it, but I won’t because my decisions say it all.”
Interest Grows Across Europe
Despite his challenges in Paris, Kolo Muani’s reputation from his time at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga has kept him on the radar of several clubs. Teams like Monaco, RB Leipzig, and Galatasaray are reportedly interested, alongside Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester United.
However, Chelsea are not among them. Journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed that the Blues have no intention of pursuing Kolo Muani, even as they continue to monitor potential striker options.
Chelsea’s Current Plans
Chelsea’s reluctance to join the race for Kolo Muani stems from their satisfaction with current striker Nicolas Jackson, who has been performing well. While there are whispers of discontent from Christopher Nkunku over limited playing time, the club sees no urgent need to strengthen their frontline unless Nkunku pushes for an exit.
For now, it appears Chelsea are content with their attacking setup, focusing instead on refining their existing roster rather than chasing high-profile transfers.
As Kolo Muani looks toward a January move, his next destination remains uncertain, but Chelsea has made it clear that Stamford Bridge won’t be part of his journey.
