American pop sensation Chloe Bailey has broken her silence regarding swirling rumors about a romantic relationship with Nigerian music superstar Burna Boy.
The Atlanta-born singer-songwriter addressed the speculation during her appearance on The Breakfast Club podcast, where she candidly responded to questions about her connection to the Grammy-winning Last Last crooner.
Hinting at Romance?
When asked if she would attend the upcoming NAACP Image Awards with Burna Boy, Bailey initially attempted to sidestep the question. However, she eventually quipped, “You’ll have to ask him.”
The hosts pressed further, referencing her time in Lagos during the lively Detty December festivities, where she was seen with Burna Boy. But Chloe pivoted the conversation to her love for Nigeria, sharing highlights of her experience.
“Nigeria is so beautiful. I had the best time,” she said. “I had some good food—I had pepper soup and lots of spicy chicken. It’s really good. I really had a great time.”
A Taste of Lagos
Bailey described Lagos nightlife with enthusiasm: “Yes, the nightlife. There were so many lights and cameras.” Her glowing review of the city highlighted its vibrancy and culture, though she steered clear of delving into any personal moments shared with Burna Boy.
Addressing the Rumors
When directly asked if she and Burna Boy were dating, Chloe responded with a cryptic but poised reply: “Well, I am a grown woman. I had a great time in Nigeria.”
The conversation also touched on Burna Boy being spotted with another woman shortly after Chloe’s trip to Nigeria. To this, she coolly replied, “He is a grown man, just like I am a grown woman.”
