Cristiano Ronaldo Calls for Erik ten Hag’s Replacement at Manchester United

Claims Club Needs New Manager to Compete for Premier League and Champions League Titles

Cristiano Ronaldo has publicly stated that Manchester United must replace manager Erik ten Hag if they hope to win the Premier League or Champions League. Despite a promising start under Ten Hag, which saw United finish in the top four, win the League Cup, and reach the FA Cup final, Ronaldo believes the Dutchman’s mindset is limiting the club’s ambitions.

In an upcoming interview with Rio Ferdinand, Ronaldo criticized Ten Hag’s attitude, suggesting that the coach doesn’t believe United can compete for major titles. “As Manchester United coach, you cannot say that you’re not going to fight to win the league or Champions League,” Ronaldo said.

He emphasized the need for a fighting mentality, even if the squad may not have the full potential to dominate.

Ronaldo also expressed hope that Ruud van Nistelrooy, brought in as Ten Hag’s new assistant, could help improve the situation, but only if the manager listens to his compatriot’s advice. Ronaldo argued that those who understand the club, like van Nistelrooy, Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, and Sir Alex Ferguson, should be involved in rebuilding the team.

Manchester United have had a rocky start to the season, losing their last two Premier League matches against Brighton and Liverpool after an initial victory over Fulham.
