The Grammy-nominated singer says the nationwide tour is a personal celebration for his fans and Nigerian culture, culminating in a Lagos finale on Christmas Day.
In a move that has sent waves of excitement through the music scene, Afrobeats superstar Davido has officially announced the Nigerian leg of his ‘5IVE’ tour, framing it as a heartfelt homecoming for the global icon.
After a successful run of shows across North America, Davido is bringing the tour home, promising a powerful celebration of his roots and a chance to reconnect with the fans who have been with him from the start.
The singer shared the news in a passionate social media post, writing, “I’m blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go, Nigeria goes with me. But this time, I’m bringing it HOME. This one’s for the culture. This one’s personal. This one’s for us.”
The announcement immediately sparked enthusiastic reactions online, with fans across the country expressing pride and anticipation for the chance to see one of their biggest musical exports on home soil.
The nationwide tour is set to kick off in Akwa Ibom on October 26th, with stops in Adamawa, Enugu, and Ibadan throughout October and November. The tour will then build to a spectacular finale in Lagos on Christmas Day, December 25th.
The ‘5IVE’ tour supports Davido’s fifth studio album of the same name, which was released earlier this year and features collaborations with international artists like Becky G and Shenseea, as well as Nigerian hitmaker Odumodublvck. From its start to its festive conclusion, the tour promises to be an energetic journey through the rhythms and spirit that have made Davido and Afrobeats a global force.
