Isreal DMW, the logistics manager for popular Afrobeat singer Davido, has come forward to clarify his boss’s affiliation with upcoming singer Trevboi, who is currently wanted in connection to a murder case. Recent allegations suggest that Trevboi was involved in a shooting incident resulting in the death of a man at a popular club in Lagos State’s Fadeyi area. Isreal DMW, however, made it explicitly clear that Trevboi was never officially signed to Davido’s record label, DMW.
Taking to his Instagram story, Isreal DMW provided context and explained that Trevboi was someone whom Davido had voluntarily supported by collaborating on a song. Isreal further disclosed that Davido had generously covered all the expenses for Trevboi’s music video. However, he emphasized that their professional relationship had since ended.
Expressing disappointment in Trevboi’s recent actions, Isreal stated that the singer had the audacity to tarnish Davido’s reputation despite the kindness and support he had received. He clarified, “Trev was never Oga’s [Davido’s] signee. He was just somebody whom Oga assisted freely by jumping into his song. Oga even paid for everything for his video shoot. Oga long parted ways with him when he even had the guts to insult Oga as a payback for all his kindness.”
Isreal DMW’s clarification aims to set the record straight and ensure that Davido’s involvement with Trevboi is accurately understood. By addressing the situation publicly, Isreal aims to protect Davido’s reputation while condemning Trevboi’s alleged misconduct.
