Luis Enrique Hails French Star’s Brilliance Ahead of Sunday’s Decider, Calling Him ‘Worthy of the Ballon d’Or’”
East Rutherford, New Jersey – Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique is optimistic that star forward Ousmane Dembele will be ready for Sunday’s Club World Cup final against Chelsea, following the Frenchman’s electrifying performance in Wednesday’s 4-0 demolition of Real Madrid.
Dembele, a leading contender for this year’s Ballon d’Or, had been sidelined for much of the tournament due to a thigh injury, making only brief substitute appearances in earlier knockout rounds. But against Real Madrid, he proved his worth in his first start, setting up Fabian Ruiz’s opening goal in the sixth minute before scoring himself just three minutes later at MetLife Stadium.

A victory against Chelsea would cap off a historic season for PSG, who have already secured a continental treble under Luis Enrique, including a dominant 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League final.
