Reflecting on the recognition, Cuppy admitted she wasn’t entirely sure what being called a changemaker by the university meant but expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment.
“God placed me in this world to create a positive impact,” she said, emphasizing her commitment to making a difference.

The university’s tribute included an image of DJ Cuppy on its building, accompanied by one of her quotes:
“I wanted to help as many people as I could, for as long as I could, as well as I could.”
