Singer’s father alleges renewed accusations are being fueled by online figures.
Nigerian music star Davido and his father, Dr. Deji Adeleke, have forcefully denied longstanding paternity allegations made by an Ibadan-based woman, Ayo Labinjo.
The claims recently resurfaced after a child named Anu, through an Instagram page, publicly appealed to Davido for a new DNA test to confirm if he is her biological father. Labinjo has alleged for years that she became pregnant after a past encounter with the singer in Ibadan and that he has refused to take responsibility.

In a firm response, Davido stated that the matter has already been settled by science. “Five DNA tests have been conducted,” the singer asserted, maintaining that all results returned negative and that he is not the child’s father.

His father, Dr. Deji Adeleke, publicly backed his son’s position, calling the circulating social media reports “false and misleading.” He singled out investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo, alleging she is driving the renewed narrative online.
“Science has resolved the matter,” Dr. Adeleke stated. “The DNA results clearly show that Anu is not a member of the Adeleke family. Due process has been followed, and this issue should be put to rest.”
The statement from the Adeleke family aims to close a chapter of personal controversy that continues to surface publicly, reiterating their reliance on legal and scientific processes to dispute the claims.
