Kyle Walker and Jack Grealish
Toffees Boost Squad with Man City Stars Ahead of Historic Stadium Debut
Everton are making waves in the transfer market as they prepare for their first season at their new stadium, with reports suggesting they could land not one, but two Manchester City stars this summer.
Kyle Walker has reportedly agreed to a sensational move to Merseyside, while Jack Grealish is also being lined up as the Toffees look to make a statement under manager David Moyes.
With the Friedkin Group’s takeover injecting fresh funds, Everton are ready to flex their financial muscle after years of cautious spending. The club is determined to build on last season’s progress, and a major squad revamp at Manchester City has presented a golden opportunity.
Pep Guardiola’s side endured a frustrating campaign, finishing third and falling short in the FA Cup final, prompting an expected exodus of big names. Grealish, who has attracted interest from across Europe, is said to be open to joining Everton—with the lure of regular playing time and the chance to be part of the club’s exciting new era at Bramley-Moore Dock.
Meanwhile, Walker’s proposed switch has gathered pace after AC Milan opted against making his loan move permanent. The 35-year-old right-back, whose form dipped last season, has been in talks with Everton since returning from Italy, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Moyes has given the green light for his signing.
“David Moyes approves Kyle Walker as ideal target for Everton, with talks underway for the right-back,” Romano tweeted. “#EFC are moving quickly to fend off competition from Fenerbahçe and others.”
Deal Details Still to Be Finalized
According to The Sun, Walker has already agreed to join Everton, though the structure of the deal—whether permanent or a 12-month loan—is still being negotiated with Manchester City. Fulham had also shown interest but were reportedly priced out of a move.
As for Grealish, Football Insider claims the England international is drawn to Everton’s ambitious project, with the state-of-the-art new stadium and a guaranteed starting role key factors in his decision.
With two high-profile signings potentially on the horizon, Everton fans have every reason to be excited as the club gears up for a landmark season.
