England Star Shines as Eagles Soar into Wembley Semi-Finals
Crystal Palace booked their place in the FA Cup semi-finals with a commanding 3-0 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage, thanks to a dazzling performance from Eberechi Eze. The in-form playmaker, recently called up to England’s squad by new manager Thomas Tuchel, stole the show with a goal and an assist, propelling his side one step closer to silverware.
Palace, now on a five-match winning streak, broke the deadlock in spectacular fashion. Eze cut inside, leaving Fulham’s Andreas Pereira in his wake, before curling a stunning strike into the far corner. Just four minutes later, the 25-year-old turned provider, delivering a pinpoint cross for Ismaila Sarr to head home and double the lead.
Fulham, despite early promise from Rodrigo Muniz and veteran winger Willian, struggled to break down a resolute Palace defense. Their best chance came when Calvin Bassey was denied by a heroic last-ditch block from Sarr. But any hopes of a comeback were extinguished when substitute Eddie Nketiah raced clear and cheekily nutmegged goalkeeper Bernd Leno to seal the win late on.
The victory marks Palace’s first trip to Wembley since their 2022 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea. Under new manager Oliver Glasner, the Eagles are flying high—and with Eze in this kind of form, they’ll believe they can go all the way.
