Faith Adewale Reveals Mental Health Struggles Led to BBNaija Exit

Disqualified housemate says he requested a therapist three times while in the house.

Faith Adewale, the 25-year-old doctor dramatically disqualified from the Big Brother Naija ‘10/10’ season, has broken his silence for the first time in a poignant and deeply personal video message.

Addressing his fans directly on his YouTube channel last Friday, Adewale opened up about the whirlwind that catapulted him into the spotlight and the emotional turmoil he faced inside the house. He began his story with a striking metaphor, announcing, “Faith is dead, but before he passed on, he wanted to tell you stories that meant the world to him.”

He recounted the moment his life changed forever: a text message received on March 5, 2025. “One click on that link and everything changed,” he revealed. After returning to Nigeria in December 2024, Adewale confessed he felt directionless and pessimistic about his medical career. Taking a massive leap of faith, he financed his journey by taking a N5 million loan to secure his place on “Africa’s biggest reality show.”

Once inside the house, the pressure took its toll. “I wasn’t perfect, I made a lot of mistakes, I was overwhelmed and isolated,” he shared candidly, disclosing that he requested to see a therapist more than three times because he recognized he needed professional help.

His message was also one of profound gratitude. He thanked the fans who supported him, people he had never met who spent their “hard-earned money” to keep him in the competition. “They didn’t see perfection,” he said, “they saw Faith, a flawed but passionate man.”

Ending on a hopeful and forward-looking note, Adewale declared himself ready for the next chapter. “This is Faith Adewale, the dreamer, the doctor, the creator, the entertainer, your latest reality TV star,” he said. “I’m ready to make magic with you all.”
