FBI Agents Fatally Shoot Man Under Investigation for Threats Against President Joe Biden

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents have taken the life of an individual who was the subject of an ongoing investigation related to threats against the President of the United States, Joe Biden.

As per a report by the BBC, the individual has been identified as Craig Robertson, and the incident occurred during a raid in Provo, situated approximately 40 miles (65 km) south of Salt Lake City, Utah.

The investigation into Robertson’s activities commenced in April, with the Secret Service being alerted in June after he posted a threat directed towards President Biden on his Facebook account.

A spokesperson from the FBI issued a statement on the matter: “The incident began when special agents attempted to serve arrest and search warrants at a residence. The subject is deceased. The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously.”

The FBI agents were in the process of executing an arrest warrant for Robertson at his residence in Utah, mere hours before President Biden’s scheduled visit to the state.

According to a criminal complaint, Robertson had made a series of threatening statements on his Facebook account, including posts with images of firearms and direct threats to kill President Biden and Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney overseeing an investigation into a payment made by former President Trump to an adult film star as hush money.

The complaint detailed further messages that targeted individuals such as US Attorney General Merrick Garland and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

One of Robertson’s Facebook posts read: “I hear Biden is coming to Utah. Digging out my old ghillie suit and cleaning the dust off the M24 sniper rifle.” This message was just one among several violent statements and images of weapons posted across two of Robertson’s Facebook accounts.
