YBNL Artist Emphasizes Brotherhood and Collaboration within the Record Label
Fireboy DML, the renowned Nigerian singer and YBNL artist, has put to rest any rumors of a music rivalry between him and fellow label mate Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake.
In an interview with Max FM in Lagos, the 28-year-old artist emphasized that there is no sense of competition within YBNL or between him and Asake. He highlighted the harmonious working relationship that exists among them and their label boss, Olamide.
Fireboy stated, “I don’t think there is any competition in YBNL because everyone is on a different lane. We could all drop our songs one week from each other and nobody would be angry. There’s genuine love.”
He further expressed the camaraderie within the label, sharing a personal moment where Olamide and Asake helped him loosen his hair, indicating the deep bond they share. Fireboy emphasized that YBNL operates with a spirit of brotherhood and collaboration, rather than rivalry.
The singer also noted that YBNL Nation and its artists steer clear of industry disputes, focusing instead on their shared goal of generating revenue through music. This stance reflects their commitment to unity and collective success within the music industry.
