Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has taken to social media to show he is no longer having to use crutches.
The 25-year-old picked up a knee injury on international duty with Brazil at the World Cup, in a huge blow to the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta was set to be without one of his key men for around three months while Jesus recovers on the sidelines.
However, a new social media post from the forward could suggest he may return earlier than expected.
Jesus posted a story on his Instagram account to hint that he no longer needs to use crutches.
He accompanied it with the caption ‘Liberdade cantou’, which translates to ‘Freedom sang’.
The striker had already offered a promising update last month following his successful operation.
However after his latest post, Arsenal fans will be pleased to see that their star summer signing is already on the way to recovery.
Despite his absence from the side, Arsenal have still impressed in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
Eddie Nketiah has filled the vacant striker spot for the Gunners, scoring two in as many games.
Even though Nketiah has impressed, Arsenal could still make an attacking signing in the January transfer window.
Boss Mikel Arteta previously said: “With Gabi it’s difficult to put a time frame. I never gave a date. I said that we don’t know.
“It’s going to take some time for sure. He’s gone through surgery and that tells you the extent of the injury.
“We will be in the market always active and we will assess the biggest opportunities that we have.”
