Galatasaray Close to Signing Victor Osimhen in €75 Million Deal with Napoli

Nigerian Striker Set for Permanent Return to Istanbul After Stellar Loan Spell

Galatasaray have reportedly reached an agreement with Napoli to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen in a blockbuster €75 million deal, bringing the Super Eagles star back to Istanbul after his impressive loan spell last season.

According to Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the two clubs have finalized terms, with Galatasaray set to pay €40 million upfront and the remaining €35 million in installments. The deal also includes a clause preventing Galatasaray from selling Osimhen to any Italian club for the next two years.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news, adding that the add-on payments will be completed by the end of 2026. The move comes after weeks of intense negotiations between Galatasaray and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who had initially been reluctant to let the 26-year-old leave.

Osimhen, who scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in just 41 appearances for Galatasaray last season, played a key role in securing the club’s third straight Süper Lig title and Turkish Cup victory. His dominant performances made him a fan favorite, and he has been eager to return on a permanent basis despite interest from top European clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United.

The deal nearly hit a snag as Galatasaray were prepared to take the matter to FIFA due to disagreements with Napoli, but the two sides have now found common ground. With personal terms not expected to be an issue, Osimhen is on the verge of sealing his return, giving Galatasaray a major boost ahead of the new season.

Fans in Istanbul will be thrilled to see their star striker back in yellow and red, as the club aims to continue its domestic dominance and make an impact in European competitions. Osimhen’s return could be officially announced in the coming days, marking one of the biggest transfers of the summer.
