Galatasaray Eyes Chelsea Midfielder Chukwuemeka Before Turkish Transfer Deadline

Turkish Giants Face Challenge in Luring England U21 Star Amid Chelsea Midfield Competition

Galatasaray is reportedly interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka before the Turkish transfer window closes on Friday. The Turkish club is searching for Premier League reinforcements, with Chukwuemeka emerging as a target to bolster their midfield.

Chukwuemeka, 20, has yet to feature under new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca this season. Despite interest from Manchester United and West Ham during the summer, the midfielder remained at Stamford Bridge after the Premier League transfer window closed in August.

Galatasaray has previously been linked with players like Arsenal’s Jorginho and Manchester United’s Casemiro and is now pursuing Chukwuemeka. However, convincing the England U21 international to leave the Premier League for Turkey may be a challenge.

Chukwuemeka joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2022 and played 14 Premier League games in his debut season. Despite a promising start, he has struggled for game time due to Chelsea’s stacked midfield, with high-profile players like Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez dominating minutes.

With limited opportunities at Chelsea and the Turkish deadline approaching, Galatasaray hopes to persuade Chukwuemeka to make the move. However, the player’s future remains uncertain as the clock ticks down on the transfer window.
