Galatasaray Issues Official Statement on Victor Osimhen Injury

Galatasaray SK has released an official statement regarding the status of star striker Victor Osimhen, who sustained an ankle injury while on international duty with Nigeria.

The club confirmed that Osimhen has been returned to Istanbul via private medical transport and will undergo comprehensive evaluation by the club’s medical team. The statement emphasized that “all necessary measures are being taken to ensure Victor receives the best possible care.”

“While initial reports indicate an ankle ligament concern, the full extent of the injury will be determined following complete diagnostic imaging,” the statement read. “We are in close communication with the Nigerian Football Federation and thank them for their cooperation in facilitating Victor’s prompt return.”

The club also confirmed Osimhen will miss Nigeria’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against South Africa and stated that a further update on his recovery timeline will be provided after the medical assessment is complete.
