Galatasaray Stand Firm in Osimhen Negotiations as Napoli’s New Demands Are Rejected

Turkish Champions Unwilling to Meet Revised Terms, But Door Remains Open for Future Talks

Galatasaray have pushed back against Napoli’s latest demands in their pursuit of star striker Victor Osimhen, refusing to accept the Italian club’s revised financial conditions. Negotiations between the two sides will continue—but only if Napoli soften their stance.

The Serie A side had asked for a guaranteed €40 million upfront, with an additional €35 million to be paid by 2026, along with a sell-on clause for any future transfer. However, Galatasaray are only willing to commit to a €35 million payment spread until 2027 and have firmly rejected including a sell-on percentage.

A High-Stakes Transfer Standoff

Osimhen, one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards, has been at the center of a prolonged transfer saga this summer. Napoli had initially appeared open to a deal, but their latest demands have complicated negotiations. Galatasaray, determined not to overstretch financially, are standing their ground—though they remain open to discussions if Napoli reconsider their terms.

The Nigerian striker’s future remains uncertain, with other clubs also monitoring the situation. For now, the Turkish champions are refusing to be rushed into an unfavorable agreement, even as they aim to secure a marquee signing to boost their Champions League ambitions.

Should neither side budge, Osimhen could start the season with Napoli, leaving Galatasaray to explore alternative targets. But with the transfer window still open, the negotiations are far from over.
