Garnacho’s Chelsea Move Imminent as United Standoff Ends

Transfer insider declares deal is all but done, with the Argentine winger set for a cut-price £25m move to West London after a fractured relationship at Old Trafford.

The long-running transfer saga surrounding Alejandro Garnacho appears to be reaching its conclusion, with top football insider Fabrizio Romano declaring that the Manchester United winger’s move to Chelsea is now “a matter of time.”

Speaking to his vast audience on YouTube, Romano stated, “Garnacho is going to Chelsea. We’re just waiting for formal steps but in my opinion, he’s going.” He confirmed the 21-year-old Argentine remains a “priority target” for the Blues alongside PSV’s Xavi Simons.

This move brings a decisive end to months of speculation that began back in January. The path for his departure was cleared after Garnacho fell out of favour at United, finding himself among the group of players deemed surplus to requirements by new manager Ruben Amorim.

The relationship between the player and the club became strained last December when he was unexpectedly dropped for a crucial match against Manchester City. Further incidents, including a social media post where he was pictured in an Aston Villa shirt—the club of former teammate Marcus Rashford—deepened the rift.

With United desperate to raise funds through player sales, they have significantly lowered their asking price. Reports indicate Chelsea are hopeful of securing a deal for just £25 million, half of what the Red Devils initially demanded at the start of the transfer window, paving the way for Garnacho’s fresh start in West London.
