Manager praises team effort and teenage star Lamine Yamal as Barça complete dominant domestic treble.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick couldn’t hide his pride after his side secured their 28th LaLiga title with a commanding 2-0 victory over city rivals Espanyol on Thursday—capping off a near-flawless domestic campaign.
The win extended Barça’s unbeaten run in Spain to five months, a streak that also saw them lift the Spanish Super Cup in January and the Copa del Rey last month after a thrilling final against Real Madrid.
Flick, who took charge last summer, credited the team’s unity and relentless mentality for their historic success. “Especially in the second half of the season, we’ve been amazing—not a single defeat,” he said in an emotional post-match press conference. “Congratulations to the players, the club, and our incredible fans. This is a special moment for all of us.”
The German coach emphasized the strong bond within the squad, calling it a “family” built on hard work and mutual support. “I’ve always valued the culture we’ve created here—how we take care of each other, fight together. It’s unique, and I’m truly delighted,” he added.

While 17-year-old sensation Lamine Yamal stole the spotlight with a stunning long-range strike to open the scoring, Flick was quick to highlight the collective effort behind their triumph. “This is Barcelona’s title, not just one player’s,” he said. “Lamine has been fantastic, but we won because everyone stepped up. The team as a whole delivered the best version of itself, and the fans should be proud.”
Still, he couldn’t resist praising Yamal’s match-winning moment: “He practices that shot every day—today, it was just perfect.”
With the domestic treble secured, Flick and his players now turn their focus to building on this success next season—with the Barça “family” stronger than ever.
