Nigerian media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has sparked conversation with a candid admission about where she currently stands in her personal life. Speaking on the latest episode of her podcast, Toke Moments, the 40-year-old revealed she’s now open to the idea of being a second, third, or even fifth wife — a striking departure from the ideals of traditional monogamous expectations.

“Let me break it down. Forget the cameras. At this point in my life, if I have the opportunity to be the second, third, fourth or fifth wife, I will take it,” she confessed.
Her comments came after asking Kuku, “As independent women, do you think that we have glamourised this notion of being independent?” To which Kuku responded, “Yeah. It’s tough.”
Makinwa didn’t shy away from explaining why she feels this way.
“I’m the boss everywhere — and that could be tiring. You feel like you need someone to lean on. Someone that could decide what’s for dinner. Must it be me?”
