Impressive Sergio Aguero stats emerge vs Fulham

Fulham vs Man City

The worst defence and best attack in the Premier League went head-to-head on Saturday.

Manchester City would go back top of the Premier League with a win over Fulham as Liverpool don’t play till Sunday.

As for Fulham, they started the day 19th in the league, 13 points from safety.

Fulham were also without several key players vs Man City including Aleksandar Mitrovic due to injury.

Sergio Aguero impresses

Given the obvious gulf in class between the two sides, it was no surprise that Man City took the lead vs Fulham.

Bernardo Silva opened the scoring in the 5th minute with a superb finish from the edge of the box.

Sergio Aguero would then double the Citizens lead in the 27th minute.

After scoring and assisting vs Fulham, Aguero has now been involved in 26 Premier League goals this season for City.

Aguero is also now on 19 league goals for the season and is leading the race for the golden boot.

Also, since the 2011/12 season, Aguero has scored 29 and assisted seven against newly-promoted sides, more goal contributions than any other player in the same period.

While there are plenty of impressive Aguero stats coming to light after the Fulham game, Scott Parker’s side have set a rather unwanted record vs City.

They have become the first top-flight side to conceded at least two goals in 12 consecutive league games.
