Jadon Sancho Shines on Full Chelsea Debut with Early Assist Against West Ham

Winger Impresses with Second Assist in Two Matches as Blues Cruise to Victory

Jadon Sancho wasted no time making an impact on his full debut for Chelsea, assisting the opening goal just four minutes into their match against West Ham United at the London Stadium. The 24-year-old winger played a quick one-two with Nicolas Jackson in his own half, setting up the striker’s run down the left flank. Jackson did much of the work, but Sancho’s crucial pass meant he briefly averaged an assist every 25 minutes in a Chelsea shirt.

This assist follows his impressive debut performance last weekend against Bournemouth, where he came off the bench to set up Christopher Nkunku for a late winner. Sancho has now provided more Premier League assists for Chelsea than any Manchester United player has managed this season, highlighting his immediate impact since joining the Blues.

During his time at Manchester United, Sancho managed just six assists across his entire tenure. However, his playmaking abilities were evident during his time at Borussia Dortmund, where he racked up 58 assists in four seasons. If his current form continues, Sancho could return to those prolific numbers for Chelsea.

After the match, where he was named Man of the Match, Sancho expressed his excitement. “It’s amazing to make my debut for Chelsea, just being back playing, I’m very grateful,” he said. “I’ve been working hard for this moment, and I’m just happy that I got my chance.”

Sancho’s early success with Chelsea has fans optimistic that he will reach the heights of his Dortmund days as the season progresses.
