Jamie Carragher Warns Chelsea: Cole Palmer Won’t Wait for Blues to Improve

“Chelsea were overperforming at the start of the season,” Carragher said on Sky Sports. “There was talk of them being in the title race, but they’ve probably gone back to what we thought they would be. The best players in this project, like Cole Palmer, are waiting for a top goalkeeper and a proven striker. But they won’t wait around forever.”

Carragher emphasized that Palmer, who has emerged as one of the Premier League’s brightest talents, is already good enough to compete for the biggest honors. “He’s scoring in European Championship finals,” Carragher noted. “If Chelsea don’t get Champions League football, it’ll be a disaster. Palmer won’t wait for a couple of years for this project to come together.”

Currently fourth in the Premier League, Chelsea are still in contention for a Champions League spot. However, with Manchester City and Newcastle United just two points behind and Bournemouth close behind them, the race promises to be tense.
